Is there a charge for using the rescue squad?
Yes. If you are transported or assisted by the rescue squad there will be a charge. Insurance often will pay for this service. The city will not bill private insurance, statements are mailed directly to the patient to which services were provided. The city will directly bill Medicare/Medicaid/VA/Railroad/Champus. See the link to squad fees for a current rate schedule.
