1. Why are all the lights on at Splash Station at night?

Not all of the lights are on; 22 out of 33 lights are on a timer that turns the lights on at 7:00 pm and shuts lights off at 4:00 am, daily. This is done for security purposes. The lights left on are directed towards the slides and the pool vessel.

2. How much does it cost to have the lights on at night at Splash Station?

It costs $7 per night to light the 22 lights. This is an annual cost of $2,555. The Fremont Police Department and Fremont Parks and Recreation Department feel this is well worth protecting our $5.1 million investment in Splash Station.

3. Is financial assistance available for Parks and Recreation programs?

Yes. The Fremont Parks and Recreation Department works closely with the Nebraska Health and Human Service Department and offers financial assistance.
