Sealed Bids will be received by the Department of Utilities of the City of Fremont, Nebraska at the office of the City Clerk, 400 East Military Avenue, Fremont, Nebraska, until 2:00 PM, on Tuesday, August 28, 2012, for the purchase of the following:
Emergency/Standby Power System
Work includes furnishing a complete factory assembled generator set and power transfer equipment delivered FOB, City of Fremont Department of Utilities, Fremont, NE.
Bids received after the above specified time for opening will be returned unopened to the sender.

Each proposal shall be sealed in an envelope marked “BIDS FOR EMERGENCY/STANDBY POWER SYSTEM”.
Each bidder shall submit with each proposal a certified check or bid bond by a nationally recognized company, countersigned by a resident agent, payable to the City Treasurer of the City of Fremont, Nebraska, the amount of which shall be not less than five percent (5%) of the bid price and which shall guarantee good faith on the part of the bidder and the entering into Contract within 15 days after notification of acceptance at the price bid. Unsuccessful bid securities will be returned after contract documents have been signed. The bid security of the successful bidder will be held until the equipment has been delivered and accepted by the City.
Bids will be evaluated by the City, based on quality, time required for delivery, and experience of the Manufacturer. The City reserves the right to select the bid which best suits its needs whether price is the lowest or not, and also reserves the right to reject any or all bids and waive irregularities therein, and all bidders must agree that such rejection shall be without liability on the part of the City for any penalty brought by any bidder because of such rejections; and the filing of any bid in response to this invitation shall constitute an agreement of the bidder to these conditions.
Bidders may not withdraw bids for a period of sixty (60) days after the date of the bid opening.
