Friends of Keene Memorial Library Meetings

The Friends of Keene Memorial Library have an annual meeting and several regular events such as the Book Sale (held in April at the City Auditorium), Lemonade on the Lawn (held during John C Fremont Days), and Dessert in the Stacks (held in the Library each November).


Friends' Annual Meeting set for March 14, 2010

The Friend's of Keene Memorial Libary held their annual meeting in the library auditorium on Sunday, March 14, 2010. At the meeting, the Friends will presented their treasurer's report and voted on a slate of new board members. Plans for the April Friends' booksale were announced.

The Friends were pleased to present the Broad Street Revue as its featured entertainment for the annual meeting.  Broad Street Revue, formed and directed by Bob Yanike, performs several times a year at the Love Larson Opera House and in the community.  The group consists of Fremont area musicians who volunteer their time.  The group is supported by a dynamic committee which organizes decorations, costumes, dinner and publicity for the events.  The Broad Street Revue's musical events have become highlights on Fremont's performing arts' calendar.  Members of the group will perform at the library along with their accompanists. 

Refreshments followed the music program.
