All persons desiring to do forestry work within the City of Fremont must be licensed. 

There are three types of forestry licenses for the City of Fremont

The licensing period for all arborists is from January 1st to December 31st of each year.  The following is the requirements to obtain a license within the City of Fremont: 

1.    You must be eighteen (18) years old
2.    Liability insurance with the City of Fremont named as additional insured. 

        (Applicant must provide liability coverage for accidents arising out of his work as a 
        tree expert of at least one hundred thousand ($100,000.00) dollars for the injury or 
        death of any one (1) person; three hundred thousand ($300,000.00) dollars for the 
        injury or death of any number of persons in any one (1) accident, and with a 
        coverage of at least twenty-five thousand ($25,000.00) dollars for property damage 
        in any one (1) accident for holders of first class licenses.)  The City will accept 
        liability certificate with amounts above the required. 

3.    $1,000 license and permit bond with the Forestor and Company name

4.    Application before the Board of Forestry for examination (requires an initial 
        fee of $25.00 for second class and an initial fee of $45.00 for first class with a 
        $10.00 fee yearly thereafter to renew) or proof of license with cities of the First 
        Class or larger  in the State only or proof of a Certified Arborist with the 
        Nebraska Arborists Association,(requires a fee of $20.00 for initial 
        application and $10.00 yearly thereafter).

5.    Citizen Attestation form completed
