Keene's Regular Programs
  • Baby Play: Baby Play is held in the Keene Memorial Library’s auditorium every Friday at 10:30 am. Baby Play is designed for babies from age 4 months to walking. The first 15 minutes will be guided, caregiver-child games followed by free play with toys and other babies. Babies and caregivers are welcome to stay and observe Toddler Play. 
  • Drop-in Crafts: Craft Time is held in Keene Memorial Library’s auditorium on the second Tuesday of the month from 3:30 to 4:30PM.  Arrive any time during the hour to complete the crafts.  The crafts typically take 5-10 minutes to complete. 
  • Evening Storytime: Evening storytime is held in the children's area every Thursday night at 7:00 pm. Miss Susan reads stories, gets the children and parents involved and there's a take-home craft to remind you what you heard. Kids are welcome to come in their PJ's and bring a favorite pillow or stuffed animal.
  • Lego Party: Join us in the auditorium for a LEGO filled hour of building and creating. Thursdays at 4 pm through August 2014.
  • Storytime: Storytime is held in the Keene Memorial Library auditorium every Thursday and Friday at 10:00 am and on the last Monday of every month at 10:00 am and 1:00 pm. Storytime is also available on Saturday at 11:00 am.
    • The program lasts for 30 minutes. Open to preschool kids and their caretakers. Listen to stories and make a take home craft. Please call the Keene Memorial Library Children's department with any questions.
  • Toddler Play: Toddler Play held in the Keene Memorial Library’s auditorium every Friday at 11:00 am to 11:30 am. Toddler Play is planned for children from walking to approximately 24 to 30 months. The program consists of 20-30 minutes of stories, songs, and games are followed by play time with other toddlers. 

Note: Advance registration is not required for any of these programs unless it’s for a group of over ten children.
