“Fremont won the best tasting water award in Nebraska in 2011 and 2010, but this was Fremont’s first national taste test award,” according to Larry Andreasen, Water and Sewer Superintendent.
Fremont gets its water from the nine wells in the High Plains Alluvial Aquifer, with an average well depth of 90 feet. The Utility pumps five million gallons per day through 160 miles of main to serve 28,000 customers.
