The City of Fremont will host a public meeting on Thursday, Feb. 13 to receive and discuss initial alternative suggestions from its airport consultant on possible airfield land use options to encourage more private development at the Fremont Municipal Airport.
Airport Development Group, Inc. (ADG), Denver, CO was selected last fall to prepare a Terminal Area Plan for the airport. The February 13 meeting will present preliminary findings and alternative layouts at the airport. Also, ADG was tasked in its Scope of Services to review the feasibility of either modernizing the 1964 terminal building or develop preliminary plans for a location on the airfield to construct a new terminal building.
The study is being completed in order to receive future funding from the Federal Aviation Administration for projects at the airport. The study will conclude in spring with a presentation to the City of final findings after receiving input from the community and users of the airport.
Meeting time is 6:30 – 8 p.m. in the City Council Chambers on the second floor of City Hall, 400 E. Military.
