Broad Street construction has begun – That Nebraska Department of Roads is in the process of widening Broad Street from 5th Street to 10th. This project will improve the safety of Broad Street through the downtown area by increasing the width of street and constructing larger radius curbs at certain intersections to allow for large trucks to more easily make their turns. This project began in March and is scheduled to be completed prior to John C. Fremont Days in July.
