[ARCHIVED] Order your Veterans Memory Tile here!

Chris Madsen, Chairman of Fremont Avenue of Flags, is spearheading efforts with local veterans groups to raise funds to construct a Veterans Memorial Park in Fremont to honor our nation’s veterans. The park, as shown here in the conceptual design, will have a monument dedicated to each branch of service as well as the flag of each military branch.

Construction of the park is scheduled to begin in the Spring of 2018. The park will be an extension of the Eternal Flame Memorial on East Military Avenue.

Memory tiles can be purchased to honor a veteran you know or have known. The tiles will be displayed along a wall and will showcase the veterans’ name, branch they served, their years of their service, which conflict they may have served in, if they were a prisoner of war and/or if they were killed in action. The tile can feature a photo of the veteran and even have a scan-able quick reference (QR) barcode that will link to the veteran’s own personal webpage that can be updated for years to come.

Tiles range in price from $100 to $200. Order forms can be found here, paper copies will be located at City Hall on second floor, or by emailing Chris Madsen at fremontavenueofflags@yahoo.com.

Donations for the construction of the Veterans Memorial Park are also being accepted. Checks should be made payable to Fremont Avenue of Flags C/O Veterans Park and can be mailed to:
