[ARCHIVED] Public Meetings Regarding FloodProofing and Flood Insurance

The City of Fremont will host two public meetings pertaining to flood proofing and flood insurance. The meetings will be held on Thursday, January 16, 2020, at 11:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. in the City Council Chambers on the second floor of the Municipal Building at 400 East Military Avenue, Fremont, NE.

Presenter, Bryan Christopherson, a Flood Mitigation Specialist, will share information about improvements that may reduce your flood insurance premiums and protect your property.

Attendees are encouraged to RSVP as space is limited. RSVP’s can be made by calling 866-599-7065.

Attendees are also encouraged to bring their elevation certificate and current flood insurance policy. If in need of an elevation certificate, please call 866-599-7065 for assistance in obtaining one. Those in attendance will have an opportunity to sit one-on-one with a Certified Floodplain Manager to review their certificate and policy and determine the proper mitigation steps needed to lower their premium.
