[ARCHIVED] Mask Health Directive To Expire March 31, 2021

FREMONT’S MASK HEALTH DIRECTIVE TO EXPIRE ON WEDNESDAY, MARCH 31, 2021 AT MIDNIGHT.

Mayor encourages public health recommendations be followed as mask health directive expires.

FREMONT, NE –FRIDAY, MARCH 26, 2021 – Fremont’s mask health directive will expire

on Wednesday, March 31, 2021 at midnight. The Mayor issued the following statement:

“I want to thank the community for their tireless efforts to slow the spread of COVID-19 in our

community. Significant progress has been made to combat the virus and vaccinations continue

to be administered. I would like to remind citizens how important it is to follow all public health

recommendations and be sure to adhere to local business and school policies that require masks

to be worn. I strongly encourage everyone to still use face shields, coverings, or cloth-based

masks in public areas where social distancing is not possible. Let’s continue to do all we can to

stop the spread of COVID-19, including the variants. I applaud the efforts being made by Three

Rivers Public Health Department to get as many people vaccinated as quickly as possible, as

more and more doses of vaccine become available. Now, let us all do our parts by signing up to

be vaccinated, so we can finish strong and do everything we can to protect one another from this

deadly virus. If you are 16 and older, please go to: https://vaccinate.ne.gov/en-US/ to sign up for

the COVID-19 vaccine.

Again, Fremont’s mask health directive expires on Wednesday, March 31, 2021, at midnight.”
