Beginning Tuesday, May 30th, the Bell Street viaduct will be closed to all traffic for repairs. The closure is expected to run through November. During this time, the structural supports at each end of the viaduct will be repaired and the drive lines will be resurfaced and repaired. Passenger vehicles should find alternate routes. East of Bell Street, the existing railroad tracks can be crossed at Luther Road, Johnson Road or on Highway 275. West of Bell Street, the existing railroad tracks can be crossed at Union Street, Main Street or Broad Street. Trucks should utilize existing posted truck routes to avoid the closure.
