      We are currently transitioning between online application systems.  We appreciate your understanding as we work through the transition and implement our new software.    

      This is our temporary application form, which will only be used temporarily during this transition and will be discontinued once our new online application is available.

      Below are some instructions and suggestions on successfully completing and submitting your application.  If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us at jobs@fremontne.gov for assistance. 

      We gladly accept applications for posted vacancies.  A separate application is required for each position for which you are applying.  We are not able to accept applications for positions that are not currently posted as a vacancy, any application that is not for a specific position (i.e. for “Any position”), or applications submitted for multiple positions.

    4. Where Do I Find Current Vacancies?

      Currently available positions are posted in the Employment section of our website (www.fremontne.gov).  By clicking on a position title, you may view the posted job description.  If you would like to be considered for the position, please complete this application and list the job title from the job posting in the “Position Desired” field on your application.  To make sure your application is placed into consideration for the correct position, copy the job title exactly as it appears in the job posting.

      All positions are open until filled unless a closing date is listed on the posting.

      Once a position is no longer posted on our website, we will not accept applications for that vacancy.

    5. Instructions for Completing the Application

      Please read these instructions carefully.  You may print or copy them to refer back to while you are completing your application.

      1. Before you start, please make sure that you have all of the following information available:

      1. The job title for the position you are applying for.  You will need the job title exactly as it appears on the job posting for your application.
      2. Your contact information
      3. Three professional references (name, phone number or email)
      4. Your education information (school and degree or diploma obtained)
      5. Your entire employment history (Employer names, locations and phone or email address; your job title; supervisor names; and dates of employment.  You will also be asked to provide a summary of your job responsibilities and your reason for leaving each position.)
      6. A list of any job-related skills, certifications, qualifications, etc. that you would like to provide on your application.

      2.  Complete the application by filling in all fields.  Every field is required. 

      1. If you do not have information to provide in any field, please enter “N/A” to indicate the requested information does not apply to you.

      3. Indicate the position you are interested in by entering the job title in the “Position Desired” field. 

      1. You may only apply for one position per application.  If you would like to apply for multiple positions, please submit a separate application for each position.

      4. Please do not enter “See resume” in lieu of providing the requested information. 

      5. You must complete each section of the application prior to moving to the next section.  

      6. Once you move on to the next section you will not be able to go back to a previous section until you have completed the entire application.  Once you have completed each field on the form, you will be able to go back and adjust information on any section before you submit.  Once you hit the “Submit” button at the bottom of the References section, you will not be able to make any further changes to your application.

      7. A completed application must be submitted to be considered. Resumes submitted in lieu of an application will not be considered.

    6. Checking The Status of My Application

      Unfortunately, due to the number of applications we receive we are unable to confirm receipt of every application. We also ask that you refrain from calling to check on the status of your application.

      Once your application has been reviewed by the hiring manager and we have an update regarding your application, you will be contacted via email or phone.  In some cases, this may take several weeks, but you will be contacted once we have an update for you.
